A glass with an ultrathin wall – the rim is barely felt by the lips, making the wine feel softer. The mother-of-pearl coating gives a subtle iridescent sheen in the light.

• Design: A wide, classic wine-shaped bowl with a thin rim, mother-of-pearl sheen, a tall stem, and a round base.

• Crystal: This is not ordinary glass. Crystal refracts light more strongly – its facets and edges sparkle with reflections, and a light tap on the rim produces a clear, prolonged ring. The wall can be made thinner while maintaining the same strength, so the rim is barely felt by the lips.

• Material: Crystal. Wash by hand with warm water and a mild detergent: high temperatures and alkaline chemicals will make crystal cloudy over time.
